Kensington Temple’s Community Link Programme (CLP) is a vehicle through which we not only preach to our society, but also demonstrate it with practical love and care through a concentrated effort of social action focused on areas of local inner-city deprivation. It is co-ordinated by Eddie Walsh who has been involved in community work for more than two decades.

CLP has outreaches and projects that minister to various needs across London such as our work with the elderly and the many everyday social problems people face. We not only provide for their physical needs such as clothes and food etc., but their spiritual needs and life skills, by networking with other Christian ministries. The main aim of the CLP is to train up leaders who have a burden and call to minister into these areas of need.

We are also involved with the IBIOL, training the students for social action to impact the cities and countries through God’s love and care. Part of our faith goal is to equip and release as many members of the church to work with disadvantaged people, whilst encouraging churches and groups to start Day Centres and programmes where people can receive help for their various needs.

James 1:26-27 New King James
26 If anyone among you[a] thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

If you’re reading this page today and have been impacted by the things we have shared above, we would love to hear from you. Anyone and everyone can make an impact in their local areas why don’t you?  Our heart is to know The Lord and make Him known; you are invited to join us on the journey.
