Family

Family café

Our family café operates every month alongside the kid's monthly gatherings. Open from 10:30-16:00 in the lower hall at Kensington Temple, it serves hot food at a reasonable price. With plenty of people to chat to, fun activities for children (and even sometimes for parents) this is a great place to catch up with other families. Join with us while your children join in the gatherings upstairs, or come down with your children after their gathering to eat together.

Womb ministry

The womb ministry provides support to all those who are pregnant. Open to pregnant mums on their own or with their husbands/partners, the ministry seeks to prepare and support you emotionally and spiritually during the pregnancy and in the early weeks of parenting your newborn. Our team of professionals includes midwives, health visitors, paediatricians, intercessors, beauticians and dieticians all available on hand to pray and advise. Meeting monthly in Kensington Temple from 2pm-4pm.

We operate a 24 hour phone line to request prayer from our team of intercessors during emergencies or for when you go into labour. There are also some local groups that meet in homes for support during and after pregnancy.

One-Parent Family Ministry

The ministry to one-parent families aims to support parents who find themselves raising children on their own. With prayer support and ministry events during the course of the year, we aim to connect people with those who can help in whatever way is needed.

Boys to Men

For boys in school years 8 and upwards who are part of the CTFW (10-14s children's ministry) we run a special transition year to bring them into manhood. With a variety of activities, including a wilderness weekend away, a God encounter weekend, father/son breakfast and a graduation as well as a number of informal events we seek to raise godly men. Each young man has a sponsor (usually their father or a father figure) who can support them through the programme.

Special needs children support

For parents who have children with special needs we run a support group. This group is an invaluable means of informal support, through what can be a challenge time. We aim to help parents through the maze of statements and the challenges of daily life, as well as providing information on accessing support from local services.

For further information on any of these ministries to the family please contact the children's department on 020 8799 6178 or kids@kt.org.

Daily Verse

He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered.
