  In the first part of our series, we will explore the call to intimacy with God. So often, we can fall into the trap of living our Christians lives with a sense of duty or obligation. Being part of the church becomes an expected chore, serving becomes an added burden and participating in life together another diary commitment we have to juggle.
  But the call to Jesus is so much more than that. Duty and expectation still matter, but they are an overflow of the  call to intimacy with Jesus, devotion to God and encounter with the Holy Spirit. We will explore this and the power of putting intimacy at the centre of our life with God.

  So many of the foundations of modern living are transient. They are driven by populism, hedonism and individualism. They promise everything, but give us nothing but short term fixes and transitory satisfaction.
  The Bible offers a foundation that will last, an anchor that will hold us through every storm, and a purpose that gives life, energy and purpose every single day. That foundation is Christ, as he is presented to us through Scripture. To meet Him, and to surrender to Him, changed everything.
