KT Food Hub – What a mighty God we serve!
A year ago as the country went into lockdown and many people were left – almost overnight- without vital support, the KT Food Hub launched. Since then more than 12,000 items have been distributed to those in need. The elderly, families, homeless, isolated, sick and other vulnerable people have benefitted from your generosity.
Donations have come from across the city as KTLCC cells, members and their friends have donated non-perishable foods and toiletries to the KT Food Hub. In the early days, we were even able to supply hot meals as Nando’s donated their surplus fresh chicken.
Even though we can have only a few people in the building, the ministry has contoured to all ages. Our seniors have been blessed as we have visited them at their home with gifts. The Children’s ministry alerts us to families in need, and KT members can contact us though Reception for help.
- Eddie and Marcelo head up the work of the KT Food Hub
- Unfortunately with social distancing we cannot always see the people we are helping,
- but sometimes we can spend a few minutes on the doorstep bringing encouragement.
- The KT Food Hub is able to make use of the space normally occupied by the Children’s ministry
- We can receive donations in person or from online shopping, in this case from Amazon
- At our annual Thanksgiving Service in November we remembered the work of the Food Hub and gave glory to God for your generosity.
What a journey we have been on as the Lord challenged us to rise up and be his witnesses in these days. We have seen God touch people’s hearts and lives in many ways! We are preparing a special #KTwithoutwalls programme to celebrate that anniversary. Look out for it on KTTV.
Your generosity and kindness has made it possible for us to demonstrate the love of God in many practical ways. Meanwhile, we continue to pray for the healing and restoration of our nation, communities, marriages, families and children.
This where we need your help!
Although there is now a roadmap out of lockdown, the needs continue!
• Please bring your donations to KT reception, 9.30am – 5.30pm on weekdays or when you arrive for Sunday services.
• We can also receive online deliveries from your chosen supermarket Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm

Show and Tell on the buses
[ 3 minute read] Never have I felt so challenged about sharing my faith. To step up to the plate and publicly throw out the lifeline as a follower of Jesus during lockdown was a startling thought.

And how can they hear unless someone tells them?
[3 minute read] A year ago when you walked down a busy road, or a high street, you would find a number of cafes, bars, and pubs – many of them playing music. You would find people standing outside because there isn’t enough room inside – drinking, laughing and having a great time.

X-change – Staying in touch!
[ 3 minute read] Imagine a world where you can ask a question, make a request, register for training, or book time with a pastor without having to contact or go into Kensington Temple. Welcome to X-change – Kensington Temple’s own one-stop online system designed for you.

Dreams are coming true
[3 minute read] Since the first Novo Tempo church was planted in Pernambuco, (North East Brazil) back in 2005, our dream has been to have a church that is more than just a gathering of people in a building.

A Giant Step Forward
[4 minute read] Following the Understanding the Times webinar on 23 January we want to move forward in the 2020 Vision aim: to see every “giant” represented in KTLCC pursuing at least one major transformational change in that area of influence.

Rejoice with those who rejoice
[1 minute read] So the apostle Paul tells us in Romans 12, and we do. Especially the week we rejoice with Roberts Liardon as we see how the Lord has been working in the life of his mother, Carol.

Happy 64th Ghana!
[1 minute read] AKWAABA! Welcome! Ghanaians are known worldwide for their hospitality and joyful spirit. This is reflected when you see us singing and lauding God, and especially so at KTLCC. Click for pictures!

The ALPHA Experience
[2 minute read] The Kingdom of God is not merely physical, or even social, but supernatural. The work of God and the Good News of Jesus Christ continue to advance and spread during the coronavirus restrictions. Over the past six months effective use of Alpha seen the Gospel shared within KT, across the LCC Network and beyond in several countries.

Taking the Giants
[2 minute read] Jesus told his church to be salt and light in the world. That is, to penetrate society with the healthy influence of our salt-like presence, and to illuminate society’s thinking with the light of gospel values.
